Josh Girard, MS., PLMHP (He/They)

We all strive to forge our own paths in life. But oftentimes we find ourselves lost and powerless to the world around us. Whether that's due to external factors like discriminatory policies or to our own internal strife like trauma. My hope is to help people regain their power and use their voice to shape their own narrative. As a queer, AuDHD person, I know what it feels like to navigate in a world that is not suited to our needs. While I primarily work with my fellow queer and "neurospicy" folks, I welcome anyone who wants to work on their anxieties, complex traumas, religious traumas, depression, relationship issues, gender related concerns, and racial/social aggressions. My main modality I like to draw inspiration from is Feminist & Narrative Theories, but I also utilize CBT, DBT, & somatic to help with the day-to-day stressors.

My goal as a therapist is to hold spaces where neurodivergent people can feel seen and LGBTQ+ feel safe in their communities and identity. As a social justice advocate, you can often find me at the capital defending my client's rights. In my free time, I help local artists get their foot through the door, their stories on stage, and to have their voices heard to a wider audience. Cause after all, art is resiliency, art is power!

You do not have to wander this alone. By seeing this you already took the first step. Let's see what we can do to regain our power and assert your voice, together!
