Dr. Char’Dae Bell, PhD., LMFT-T., (She/Her)
I provide a therapeutic space where you do not have to search for the “right” words or alter how you express yourself to be understood. My goal is to create an environment where your experiences are validated, your voice is honored, and your healing can take place in a way that feels authentic to you. I approach therapy as a collaborative process, where we work together to explore your experiences, identify patterns, and develop meaningful strategies for change. My theoretical approach is integrative, combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Through this approach, I support you in processing your experiences, reframing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, and rewriting the narratives that no longer serve you. I also prioritize cultural awareness and responsiveness, ensuring that your identity, background, and lived experiences are respected and centered throughout our work together.
I work with individuals, couples, and family systems navigating a range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, and PTSD. I am especially passionate about supporting people of color and individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, recognizing the unique challenges that can arise from navigating identity, relationships, and systemic stressors. I also specialize in working with Black women, who often carry the weight of generational trauma, community expectations, and the pressure to be strong in the face of adversity. In this space, you are invited to show up fully as yourself, without judgment, without pressure, and without the need to explain your cultural context to be understood.
My passion for this work is deeply rooted in a commitment to making mental health care more accessible, relatable, and affirming for those who have historically been overlooked or misunderstood. I believe that everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, heard, and supported, especially when navigating life’s most difficult moments. As a researcher, clinician, and advocate, I am dedicated to helping individuals not only understand their mental health but also feel empowered in their healing journey. This work is more than a profession for me, it is a purpose grounded in creating spaces where people can move beyond survival and begin to experience clarity, growth, and peace.
