EMDR Intensives
Have you ever thought to yourself at the end of a regular therapy session, ‘I wish we had more time because things just started getting somewhere’? Well now you don’t need to wish any longer! An EMDR intensive is an extended session where you can accomplish what would normally take weeks of therapy in one to 3 sessions.
Intensives may be particularly beneficial if you:
Feel stuck in traditional therapy or want to accelerate your progress
Have specific issues you want to address deeply (trauma, relationship patterns, life transitions)
Find weekly therapy's gaps disruptive to your progress
Have a busy schedule that makes weekly appointments difficult
Are motivated and ready to engage in focused therapeutic work
Have adequate emotional stability and coping skills
Sadly, these intensives are not covered by insurance at this time so the cost is out of pocket and due in full prior to the start of the session.
What will happen during the intensive?
While each intensive is personalized, you can generally expect:
An opening session to review goals and set intentions
Deeper exploration of core patterns and concerns
Specific therapeutic techniques tailored to your needs
Regular breaks for rest and reflection
Integration activities to help process insights
Planning for continued growth after the intensive
How long will each day’s sessions last?
This depends on the package you purchase. Typically, each day involves approximately 4-6 hours of therapeutic work with appropriate breaks. A sample schedule might be 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a lunch break and shorter breaks throughout the day. The exact schedule will be provided to you before your intensive begins.
Cost:
Once you reach to us about scheduling and fill out our brief intake an EMDR trained therapist will reach out to you and based on your needs and complexity of the case we will discuss the suggested amount of hours needed. You can always request more hours if you feel that you need more. The intensives are billed at an hourly rate of $250 per hour with a minimum of 4 hours needed.
