Leila (Lee-Lah) Donnerberg, Clinical Intern (She/Her)

Hello, and welcome! I believe clients are the experts of their own lives, and I aim to create a space where clients feel heard and respected in their experiences. I aim to bring a warm presence to therapy and meet clients where they are at. Therapy works best when you feel comfortable and safe being honest about what you are actually going through. My role is to support you in making sense of your experiences and working toward what feels important to you.

I love working with individuals but I specialize in couples and families navigating life’s challenges. My approach is collaborative and influenced by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which focuses on understanding emotional patterns in relationships and building safer, more secure connections. I received additional trainings in Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT), which focuses on strengthening and healing family relationships and negative interactions. I have also completed Level 1 training in the Gottman Method, which helps to improve communication and reduce conflict in relationships. I enjoy working with clients around relationship concerns, family stress, and life transitions.

I strive to honor each person's unique identity, background, and lived experience, and to approach therapy with openness, inclusivity, and respect for the different ways people move through the world. I know starting therapy can feel vulnerable. I appreciate the courage it takes to reach out, and I look forward to working together!

Leila sees clients on an income-based sliding scale and can see clients in person and online.
